Opener:

3. ABC / 123 Song
{Sing the ABC’s with your child & sing numbers 1-10 with your child}.
Description: Your
child will learn how to sort various colorful triangles into their proper families.
Materials:
- Construction Paper
- Muffin Tin
- Scissors
- Sharpie
Directions:
- Choose 4-5 colors to work with. With those colors cut one circle for each color, big enough to fit at the bottom of a muffin tin out of construction paper.
- Cut out 5 triangles per color.
- Write the names of the colors on five homemade word strips.
- Read aloud each word strip and have child trace each letter of the colors with their index finger.
- Place all triangles into a pile next to the muffin tray, have child sort all the colors together by placing all the triangles in its’ correct matching muffin tin. {You may have to only concentrate on 2 or 3 colors at a time, depending on your child’s knowledge. Happy sorting!!

*Stallone Tested and Approved: What a fantastic activity! Stallone loved sorting the triangles. He sorted all the colors together, I learned I could of definitely added a few more colors. Great sorting activity!
