Kid’s Corner

{Week 2: Coordination}

Activity: Bunny Hop by Briana

Theme: Easter          Color: Grey

Daily Opener:  
  1. Prayer {Say a prayer with your child}
  2. Calendar {Click on the link to learn how to use the calendar}.
  3. ABC / 123 Song {Sing the ABC’s with your child & sing numbers 1-10 with your child}. 
Description:  Your child will practice their coordination while learning to hop.

Materials:
·         2 cotton balls
·         Tape

Directions:
  1. Tape the cotton ball to the back of you and your child’s shirt.  Now you both have a bunny tail.
  2. Demonstrate to your child how to hop.
  3. Once you and your child practice hopping, you can try and grab each others cotton tail.  This activity will bring lots of fun and laughs!
  4. You can even sing the poem provided in this lesson, as you hop.
  5. This is a great activity to play outdoors! 
Learning Opportunity
  1. Your child will learn the word “Hop.”
  2. Your child will practice their coordination while learning to hop.
  3. Your child will gain confidence by improving their coordination.

*Stallone Tested and Approved:  Stallone liked hoping around for the lesson today!  He was smiling and giggling the whole time.  We sang “The Bunny Hop” poem as we hopped around and had a blast.  This is a great lesson to practice to help develop your child’s coordination.
