Description:  Children will learn how to make their own snow globe.

Materials:
-          Mason Jar {or any empty glass jar}
-          Filtered or bottled water
-          Large Glitter {any color}
-          Waterproof figurines {Examples: army figures, cars, trees, snowmen}
-          Superglue

Directions:
-          Say the word “Snow globe” to your child. Spell the word with them. Tell your child he/she will be making a snow globe today.
-          Have your child pick out any figurines he/she would like to put in his snow globe.
-          Place all of the materials on the table.  Say the names of each material used, so your child will be familiar with the materials and learn some new words.
-          Remove the lid from the jar.  Glue your child’s figurines they picked to the jar.  Set aside. {The jar will be up-side-down, so how you glue them will be how it will look}.
-          Fill the jar with water.  Have your child pour the glitter into the water.
-          Firmly put the lid back on the jar.
-          Turn up-side-down and now you have your homemade snow globe!
-          Let your child pick a place in the home to display his/her snow globe!
-          Have your child talk about the snow globe he/she made.

Snow globe {By Briana}

My Snow globe is pretty,
And fun to shake,

Shake it up
And watch it glisten

Shake it up
And watch it snow

Shake it up
And watch it glow

My Snow globe is pretty
And I love it so!

*Stallone Tested and Approved: {We are so lucky to have Stallone, Annie’s son, test out all of our lessons that we create for you.  We want the lessons to be enjoyable for children, so after each lesson we will post how Stallone did with the lesson in italics under the title, Stallone Tested and Approved}:

Stallone loved making his snow globe.  He got to choose his toy that he wanted to put inside, and he chose his "Backyardigan" toy.  Stallone loved shaking the snow globe and watching the glitter fall.  He learned the word snow globe and kept saying it during the lesson.  This is a really fun activity that Stallone approved!

Materials

Stallone loved to see what was inside his snow globe.

Stallone had a blast shaking his snow globe and watching the glitter fall.
